Stone Tor Rooibos Tea

Stone Tor is rather embarrassingly more of a hill than a tor. It sits behind and to the north of Fernworthy Forest, between Shovel Down and Manga Hill. There isn’t really a summit on this hill, just a long wall running north to south along which the highest point can be easily found. A stile makes crossing the wall at the highest point easy for all!

But, this is Dartmoor, so the views are as always glorious. So sit one cool Autumn afternoon, with a flask of steaming spicy rooibos and a slab of fruitcake, and give thanks for the beauty of our wonderful world.

This tea is available in our beautiful bio pyramids. Our biodegradable tea pyramids are suitable for composting and are completely free of microplastics. Made from a material called SOILON which contains lactic acid derived from corn starch, they are completely biodegradable and decompose within 30 days.

The dangers posed by microplastics on the environment are well documented. What people are less aware of are the staggering amounts of microplastics present in most tea bags. When steeped in hot water, they release billions of microplastic particles into the mug, each one the size of a grain of pollen.
